We're delighted to share the news that The Coaching Inn Group were 'highly commended' at The Publican Awards on Tuesday 15th March.

After the late entry into the category of Best Managed Pub Company (2-50 sites) we're honoured to have been recognised at the industry awards hosted the Morning Advertiser at Battersea Evolution in central London.

Ed Bedington, Editor of the Publican's Morning Advertiser said this to the paper: “I’d like to pay tribute to all our worthy finalists and a big congratulations to all our winners on the night. Judging these awards is both an honour and a privilege and one we take very seriously."

Planning has already begun for next year's awards where we aim to go one step further and join the winners in 2017.

Holmfirth History 2     Holmfirth History 1     Holmfirth History 3

Holmfirth is a Pennine town not far from Huddersfield. Although it is now renowned worldwide as the home of the BBC's long-running TV series The Last of the Summer Wine, it also has a great deal history and heritage.

The area boasts picturesque and often dramatic hillside and moor views. For walkers young and old, there is the Pennine Way which passes right through Holmfirth and to the West.

Restored to its 1913 former glory, the Picturedrome sits just next door to us and has hosted some of the biggest names in music and live entertainment, including Sophie Ellis-Bexter, The South & Rival Sons. Find about about their latest events by clicking here.

An unmissable date in the Holmfirth calendar is the Holmfirth Festival of Folk which has been an annual event in May since 1978 and continues to grow and strengthen every year.
